OEKO-TEX® Standard 100
is an independent testing and certification system for textile raw materials, semi-finished and finished textile products at all stages of processing.
The involvement of around 10,000 companies in the textile production chain and the issuing of over 125,000 certificates for millions of products makes it the world’s most significant label for textile products tested for harmful substances.
The main goal of the OEKO-TEX® Association is the development of research parameters, determining the acceptable level of harmful substances and research methods based on scientific principles. However, the purpose of OEKO-TEX® laboratory tests is not only to detect dangerous chemicals at an ever lower level but to protect the user (and especially the child). It is important that through the normal contact of clothing with the skin during use, harmful substances do not penetrate the skin into the human body and do not endanger its healthy – therefore the OEKO-TEX® Association developed the OEKO TEX® Standard 100 safety mark, a sign of international significance that is easily recognized by the consumer thanks to the “Trustworthy textiles” label.
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 symbol on the product gives us the guarantee to test the product in terms of over 100 criteria that are particularly important for health. It confirms that it is harmless, safe and delicate on the skin. It is worth paying attention to it especially when choosing children’s products that must be extremely gentle and ensure the safety of the youngest, eliminating the risk of allergies or allergies to zero.
Certyfikat OEKO-TEX®
guarantees that all materials from which the product is made may be tested for harmful to health. Therefore, not only the fabric itself, the threads used for its production, but also all additional materials such as lining, buttons, zippers, decorative elements, etc. are safe. Children’s products are treated extremely rigorously in the research process, and their tests include, among others . checking if the dyes used in their production are resistant to the child’s saliva and will not dye after contact with secretions.
